So … Here I am

I don’t know if this is where or what I am supposed to do.

I am wanting to write a bit. I want to blog how I used to. Back in the old days of interwebs and stuff I started with Blogger. I just wrote. I blogged. I have been journaling when i camp for about 2 years and this year I’ve been journaling a lot. Now i want to blog too.

Then I switched to Wordpress and it wasn’t easy. I am not someone who is tech savvy enough to make my site look good. But it worked well enough for my needs.

I had a web person who helped me with my website, then she convinced me that it was better to host your blog on your own site. Your own domain. It was still Wordpress, but it wasn’t part of Wordpress.

So she helped me move. And i happily blogged and mused and wrote about all the things. Until she decided she didn’t want to web stuff. I don’t know what she did. But I think it was her server or something and she decided she was over it and wanted to go do something else.

I was supposed to download things including my decade of blog writings. I begged her to help me and she did to me what is now called ghosting.

She ghosted me. I lost my website and my blog. Yeah it’s on the wayback, but i don’t want that.

I built my website on Wix. I blogged 2-3 times or so and got over it. I felt defeated.

Anyway, everyone went to FB and etc. I just kind of stopped blogging.

Now it’s 2025. I am on FB and these social media platforms and now it is all content creators and reels and dog and pony shows. It’s a huge time waster. I am just as guilty of it as the next person, but I want more.

I started journaling and it’s been so good. It reminded me how I liked blogging. Blogging to me is different than journaling. I don’t want to put my everything out on the interwebs, but I did enjoy a bit of writing and sharing.

I just signed up for Substack and then I remembered I have this blog option w my website. It isn’t what i had. I don’t think anyone will ready this … and i don’t know. Which place do I go. Here? There? Both?
